history
In 1986, Sue Kerrigan Meany left a lucrative career as a supercomputer salesperson and opened the doors of her own company. SKM Group began as Marketing Resources of New York, a firm specializing in direct mail marketing. Over time, Sue developed the organization into a full service marketing communications agency, providing clients with the full spectrum of marketing solutions. In 2000, we changed our name to SKM Group to reflect this evolution.
In 2001, SKM Group acquired an advertising agency named Creative Concepts, strengthening our business-to-business practice and diversifying our client base with national manufacturing and technology accounts. In 2003, another regional ad agency was acquired, further expanding the agency’s brand expertise with health, retail, and service-based clientele.
The blend of these three organizations has created a diverse and resourceful team of professionals, all committed to delivering the best return possible on marketing investment. Today, SKM Group offers specialized expertise in many fields, including grocery chain marketing, banking and insurance, energy, and hospitals and healthcare. We apply our expertise for clients in all media channels, both regionally and nationally.
