It may look like a regular garden gnome, but around here The Gnome is a legend. If you were to take a walk through the SKM office, it wouldn’t take you long to come across photos of The Gnome’s adventures or hear whisperings of who The Gnome may visit next.

Every month, The Gnome is given to the SKM Missionary (think Employee of the Month, but better). SKM employees submit nominations for the person they believe best exemplifies the spirit and mission of the agency. The Gnome travels from desk to desk and employee to employee, providing a visual reminder that around here hard work never goes unnoticed. You could say The Gnome is a miniature man on a mission.

So you see, The Gnome is so much more than a silly statue. It’s a symbol of recognition. It’s something to be proud of. It’s a reminder that hard work pays off. Ok, and it’s a silly statue, too.
