In 1986, Sue Kerrigan Meany left a lucrative career in sales to open the doors to her own company. What is today SKM Group started as Marketing Resources of New York, a firm specializing in direct mail marketing campaigns. Over time, the organization transformed into a full-service marketing communications agency, providing clients with the full spectrum of marketing solutions, and in 2000 the name was changed to SKM Group—reflecting this evolution.
SKM has also been strengthened and diversified with the acquisition of several regional ad agencies. These agencies were rolled into SKM, boosting our business-to-business practice and expanding our client base. As a result, SKM Group has developed in a diverse and resourceful team of professionals, all committed to delivering the best possible strategic success and return on investment.
In August 2012, SKM Group went through another transformation, and was purchased by Larry Robb, a former radio executive from Buffalo, NY. Larry brings nearly 30 years of radio sales, marketing and management experience to SKM Group. Focused on building long-term relationships and getting results, he is invaluable to the work we do every day.
